We take Oregon for granted since we live close by, but this trip reminded us how amazing it is. We didn’t record tracks. And as I took a step onto the lakebed, I heard absolutely nothing. I can recommend a few Scenic Byways… Nonetheless, it is still comparatively easy to find if you follow driving directions to the historic Whitehorse Ranch and then farther south. Do top up when you need to, though. You have taken a beautiful road trip alongg the Oregon eastern side. Escape to a Random Place . The short Painted Cove Trail loops on a boardwalk between vibrant red hills on both sides – another great spot to snap some pictures.Be forewarned that the hills will look different depending on the weather and the time of day. It can be a lovely place to stay, if the weather cooperates. Fascinating!
