Our only issue was getting the sod installed late but our builder was good with staying in contact and we got the impression that the sod delay was a lazy subcontractor because our sod was eventually installed by a different subcontractor from our neighbors.We are looking at pacific ridge homes (D.R.Horton subsidiary) new construction houses in Bothell (seattle area) and online reviews for D.R.Horton looks terrible in general. So many corners get cut it just makes them a nightmare. He never answered my phone call. They hire contractors to build house. I appreciate your input. Mark, the Pacific ridge agent didn't reimburse our money by his mistake nor he didn't even send any apology email to us. I am wondering if anyone around Seattle have positive/negative experience for the new construction homes by Pacific Ridge homes / D.r. They're home churners; not in it for the long-term. Everything seems high quality and well made. On the internet we found a DR Horton development we liked, called Town Centre resort, close to Disney.
I have a DR Horton and would recommend them.
If you go in knowing that it can work out. The only thing required (because I couldn't insure otherwise) was a new roof, which the seller put a claim in on their insurance.I don’t know about pacific ridge but our home was built by DR Horton in NC and we love it. At the price points their homes come in at it just isn't a good value if you plan living there for more than a few years.
